To add an action plan to a services resource

The ability to add a new plan to a services resource provides the option to switch from the current plan to the new one, with the first action contained in the new plan being set as the starting point, by default.


The procedure to add an action plan to a services resource is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Allocations > Configuration > Resources. The Resource Details window is displayed.
  2. Expand a category heading and linked resource subtype from the alphabetical list and select an associated services resource, or enter its name into the Search Resources field. By default the list is filtered to show Current resources. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Action Plan. The Action Plan tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Plan. The Action Plan window is displayed.
  5. Using the New plan drop-down field, select the action plan to be linked to the services resource 2.
  6. Choose a Start date for the first action in the plan using the calendar icon (), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the action plan commences for the services resource.
  7. Click on Confirm 3. All actions within the action plan path are displayed in the Action History summary table.
  8. Click on Save.


Note

1 The Search Resources field will match against any element of the services resource description.

2 System validation rules ensure that the action plans available for selection match the subtype to which the resource is linked.

3 Only one action plan can be effective at any one time; where an existing plan is already in operation, the end date will be automatically populated to coincide with the start of the new plan.
