The procedure to add a verification item to an application is as follows:
- Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the application contact

- Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon (
).
- Click on Contact Details. The Contact Details window is displayed for the current contact.
- Click on Application. The Application tab is activated, revealing a list of all enquiries and applications associated with the contact in the Application summary table.
- Double-click on the row containing the specific application on which verifications have been raised. The Application Reference window is displayed.
- Click on Verification. The Verification tab is activated.
- Click on New Verification Item. The New Verification Item window is displayed.
- Using the Item drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the verification i.e. a short description of the verification required for the application form.
- Using the Relates to drop-down field, select the contact included on the application to whom the verification relates

- Click on Save. The new item is displayed in the Application Verification summary table and the application status is updated to Awaiting Verification.
Note
1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.
2 Only those contacts linked to the application form are available for selection.
