The procedure to update the verification stage of an application is as follows:
- Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the application contact

- Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon (
).
- Click on Contact Details. The Contact Details window is displayed for the current contact.
- Click on Application. The Application tab is activated, revealing a list of all enquiries and applications associated with the contact in the Application summary table.
- Double-click on the row containing the specific application on which verifications have been raised. The Application Reference window is displayed.
- Click on Verification. The Verification tab is activated and a list of all verifications raised for the application is displayed in the Application Verification summary table.
- Double-click on the row containing the specific verification stage to be updated. The Verify Item window is displayed

- To confirm that the item has been Verified, activate the tick box provided.
- Enter the Verification Date using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the verification was conducted.
- Using the Proof Type drop-down field, select the parameter value used to denote the method by which verification was confirmed e.g. Driving licence, Passport, Birth certificate, Midwife's MATBI book, etc.
- Use the Notes field to add contextual data in support of the verification procedure.
- Click on Save. The verification stage displayed in the Application Verification summary table reflects the applied changes.
Note
1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.
2 The Verified By field is automatically populated with the name of the end user processing the verification stage.
